Our Story
In 2018 a 10 year old Canadian boy named Elijah raised money for 2 sewing machines for a small family in Tanzania. 3 months later he flew to Tanzania, and was teaching them to sew on a pedal operated machine in their house. Today Milka, the oldest daughter, is seeing her dream of attending University become a reality.
At Dream Elephants we want to see more children and students reach their goals. By supporting education we believe that communities can be transformed.
You Can Help Support a Dream
The purchase of every handmade elephant and hand knit toque supports the dreams of children and students just like Milka.
Overcoming Poverty
Over One Billion People Worldwide live on less than $1 per day.
These statistics can be overwhelming, yet if we use our resources wisely, we can help children in these impoverished communities begin to dream. We are funding dreams one elephant, one toque, one child at a time.
Sustainable Dreams
Dream Elephants help everyone who has a hand in their journey. From the merchant selling the fabric to the customer who cherishes or shares their handmade elephant or toque with a loved one, each step along the way supports a dream. The artisans who help produce the elephant are part of the Dream. Dream Elephants give them an opportunity to build a better life today and into the future.
